Nicola White
Qualified & Insured Counsellor, Hypnotherapist & Psychotherapist

Hi, I am Nicola White a fully qualified and insured Counsellor, Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist. I work with clients on a one to one basis and facilitate small group therapy on particular issues to promote health and wellbeing.
I see life as a journey, with highs and lows. I also know from personal experience and the training I have completed that we do not have to struggle with life's problems on our own or in silence. There are people that care. Speaking out and getting the right support is what helps us the most!
My work history over the years: has given me experience working with children in nursery and education settings, the elderly in health and social care, challenging young people in foster care, children homes and children's secure units. Volunteering for Victim Support gave me knowledge of how people can be affected by a crime committed against them. I experienced and gained valuable knowledge about a wide variety of problems, individuals thoughts, feelings and how they contribute to behaviours in all my work areas and how they affect the quality of life. In 2011 I decided to specialise in mental health and became a qualified Hypnotherapist in 2012 and accredited by the Hypnotherapy Society. In 2014 I qualified in my 3 year studies as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor as I wanted to help people on a deeper, psychological level to feel better about themselves and their lives. I was accredited member of the National Counselling Society, a register accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
In 2012 I set up two Private Practices working from Sawbridgeworth in Hertfordshire and Harlow in Essex. For 11 years I run two very busy practices helping clients to understand and overcome their issues and find peace of mind. I love seeing clients transist from a difficult time in life at the beginning of therapy to blossoming into living a more fulfilled happier life that they have worked for.
In 2023 I took a career break due to the loss of three significant people within my life. All in a short space of time. During this time I built 2 successful Cleaning Company Franchisees. Having now processed my Grief & Loss that took longer than I expected I am now returning into the field of Mental Health by offering an Online Counselling & Psychotherapy Service and will offer face to face appointments from my clinic in Harlow.
I have completed refresher training and re-joined as a member of the The National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society to practice as a competent professional practitioner in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am on a register that is Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority and I am bound by a strong code of ethics in which I apply to my business for the best interests of you and my clients.
My Vision
Is to offer my clients a private, professional, comfortable space to discuss and explore any issues affecting them in a calm, respectful and non judgemental way using an Online Counselling & Psychotherapy Service. Enabling my clients to proceed in the therapeutic process that is comfortable and right for them.
My Goals
Are to make my knowledge and services as flexible as possible and to offer them in a variety of ways to make my my help as accessible to those including online platforms to enable clients to choose what source is best for their therapy so they can learn, develop, make changes and grow from my services enabling them to lead healthier fulfilled lives.
My Why I became a therapist
Drawing on my own experiences from past with low self esteem, domestic abuse, grief and loss I know how detrimental these experiences can be on our lives. I can recall how I felt at the time and know that these thoughts and feelings around the experiences can be overcome and fuel you to live a more fulfilled happy life. I love life now and I want to assist and support the process of change so people that are struggling with something can also build a life that they love and deserve.
