Online Counselling Across the UK
Support that fits around your life
You don't have to travel to a counselling room to make time for yourself.
Online counselling allows you to explore your feelings, relationships and personal difficulties from a place where you feel comfortable, whether that is your home or another suitable private space.
At Minds at Peace Therapy, I offer online counselling for adults across the UK, providing an opportunity to talk openly, develop self-understanding and work towards meaningful personal change.
I'm Nicola White. My approach is compassionate, collaborative and centred on your individual experiences. You don't need to know exactly what you want to say or where to begin. We can start with what feels most important to you.

Is online counselling right for you?
Online counselling may be a suitable option if you want support but find it difficult to travel, have a busy schedule or simply feel more comfortable talking from your own surroundings.
It may be particularly helpful if you:
-
Have work, family or caring commitments that make travelling difficult
-
Live outside Harlow or Sudbury but would like to work with me
-
Prefer the privacy and familiarity of your own environment
-
Want to access counselling without adding travel time to your day
-
Are looking for a more flexible way to prioritise your emotional wellbeing
Online counselling is not necessarily the right format for everyone. We can discuss your circumstances during an introductory conversation and consider whether remote sessions are appropriate for your needs.
What can we explore together?
You may be looking for online counselling because something specific has happened, or because you have been struggling with certain feelings or patterns for a long time.
Our work may include exploring:
Self-esteem and confidence
Understanding self-doubt, harsh self-criticism and the beliefs that affect how you see yourself.
Relationships and boundaries
Exploring relationship patterns, people-pleasing, difficulties saying no and the challenge of recognising your own needs.
The effects of painful experiences
Making sense of experiences that have affected your confidence, emotional wellbeing or relationships, including experiences of unhealthy or abusive relationships.
Feeling stuck or disconnected from yourself
Understanding why certain patterns keep repeating and exploring what you would like to be different.
Your experiences are unique, and counselling is not a one-size-fits-all process. We can focus on the issues that matter most to you.
How online counselling works
Online sessions take place remotely using an agreed video-call platform.
You will need a reliable internet connection, a suitable device and a private space where you can speak without being overheard or interrupted.
Before your first full session, we can discuss the practical arrangements, confidentiality, any questions you have and how online counselling works.
During sessions, you can talk about what has brought you to counselling, explore difficult feelings and consider patterns or experiences that may be affecting you.
There is no pressure to disclose everything at once. We work at a pace that feels manageable for you.
Can counselling from home really help?
It is understandable to wonder whether online counselling can provide the same opportunity to talk openly as meeting in person.
Many people appreciate being able to speak from familiar surroundings and avoid the stress of travelling to an appointment. Others prefer the separation of attending a counselling room.
What matters is finding an approach that feels comfortable and suitable for you.
We can discuss your preferences during your introductory call and consider whether online sessions are a good fit.
Privacy and confidentiality
Your privacy matters. Before starting online counselling, it is important to agree on a suitable platform, understand the arrangements for confidentiality and identify a private place for your sessions.
Confidentiality has professional and legal limits, which I will explain as part of our initial discussions. We can also consider practical ways to make your online sessions feel as private and comfortable as possible.
Your first step
You don't need to wait until things feel unbearable before asking for support.
Perhaps you have been putting your own needs aside, struggling with your confidence or finding that the same relationship difficulties keep appearing in your life. Counselling can give you time to pause and begin to explore what you need.
I offer a free 15-minute introductory call so that you can ask questions, tell me a little about what you are looking for and decide whether working together feels right.
Arrange your free introductory call with Minds at Peace Therapy and explore whether online counselling across the UK could be right for you.
